When Paul was considering his lifestyle before he met Christ and the lifestyle he was now leading with the life of Christ dwelling in him, he reminded his fellow brethren of their new identity in Christ and of what really matters saying...
Our new identity:
Phil. 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,
What really matters:
Phil. 3:7-8 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ...
We must keep this in our minds and hearts always. We belong to Christ and we are called to become like Christ and to build up others in Christ and bring as many to Christ as we can before we are beholding Christ forevermore.
Don't waste any more time...and don't forget what matters! LET US...
ATTAIN the life of CHRIST!
GAIN the knowledge of CHRIST!
MAINTAIN the walk of CHRIST!
Until the REIGN of CHRIST is over all!
You only have one life and soon it shall be past... and only what you do for Christ Jesus will last!
