To all of our dear ones in the Lord,
UPLIFT...
In John 15, Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches...” That means that the very life that is flowing through the vine also flows through each and every branch. THAT MEANS THAT YOU BELONG TO JESUS...and HIS LIFE IS IN YOU! As a new creation in Christ, we are the extended growth of the very life of Christ. Paul said, “It is no longer I that live, but Christ who lives in me...” (Gal. 2:20) and “when Christ who is our life appears, then we shall be with Him in glory” (Col. 3:4). In Romans 12:5, Paul adds, “...so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” Thus, our greatest need is to abide in Him, which simply means to STAY CLOSELY CONNECTED TO JESUS!
Since Jesus is the Head of His Church and we, as the Church, are the body of Christ, it is essential that we LOOK TO HIM ALL DAY LONG...and SEE HIM IN THE CHURCH! We need to recognize how each and every body part is uniquely significant. It is only when we are personally yielded to the Head that the rest of the body can benefit from us individually and we can all grow to maturity. As this happens, we not only become healthier as a body of believers, but the church then has a greater impact in the world.
Jesus is building His Church...and we must build with Him. Thus, Jesus' command to LOVE ONE ANOTHER still remains our greatest commandment!
God has called us to SEE the body, BE the body and FREE the body to serve and function for the building up of the body of Christ.
So here is the point of it all...
When you and I become more sold out for Jesus, the entire Church will be a more powerful representation of Jesus on this earth. Therefore, we are all responsible to do our part personally and to take care of the whole body corporately to make sure that each part is flourishing and functioning as it should. Amen? Amen!
