ABOUT CALVARY CHAPEL CAMBRIDGE

Thus, we seek to faithfully follow Christ leaving out the man-made rituals and traditions that do not have a biblical basis. There are over 2,000 Calvary Chapel churches throughout the world that grew out of “The Jesus Movement” which began in Southern California in the late 1960s, and which now includes over 50 Calvary Chapel fellowships here in the UK.
We believe that Jesus birthed one Church through His death and Resurrection and that all believers who have genuinely received Christ as Lord and Saviour are joined together through the sharing of His life in the unity of His Spirit by faith in the finished work of Christ.
Thus, Calvary Cambridge readily receives and serves all the brethren and is not a denomination, as such, but a fellowship of churches that are committed to feeding on His Word through solid, verse by verse teaching thru the Bible and who walk in the life, leading and power of the Holy Spirit, maintaining the simplicity of Christ in His agape love, by following the pattern of the earliest disciples in Acts 2:42 who continued steadfastly in…
OUR PURPOSE IS TO ALIGN OUR WILL WITH HIS PURPOSE… To join with Christ who is building His Church for His glory, as God has revealed...'Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,' says the LORD."..."having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation [Gk. ³oikonomia² - His divine household administration] of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth IN HIM." (Haggai 1:8, Eph. 1:9-10)
TO KNOW JESUS PERSONALLY… By believing and receiving Christ as Lord and Saviour and abiding in Him. (John 1:12, 15:5)
TO GROW IN JESUS CORPORATELY… By being together feeding on His Word (Matt. 4:4) and yielding to His Spirit (Eph. 5:18) “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…that we may grow up in all things into Him who is the Head – Christ…by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:12,15-16)
TO SHOW JESUS OPENELY… By shining His light, showing His love, and sharing His truth! (Matt. 5:16, Gal. 2:20, 2 Cor. 2:14)
