ABOUT CALVARY CHAPEL CAMBRIDGE

Our Vision:

To see people become authentic followers of Jesus Christ, feeding on His WORD and being filled with His SPIRIT, making disciples to the glory and praise of God.

We seek to make this vision a reality by…

KNOWING Jesus Personally
By believing and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and abiding in Him daily. (John 1:12, 15:5)

GROWING in Jesus Corporately
By being together feeding on His Word (John 8:31) and yielding to His Spirit (Rom. 8:14) for the edifying of the body of Christ (Eph. 4:12)

SHOWING Jesus Openly to All
By shining His light, showing His love, and sharing His truth in our city, community and abroad! (Matt. 5:16, John 15:12, 2 Cor. 2:14)

Calvary Cambridge began when God called Joey Rozek and his family to move to England from the United States in February of 2007 after several years of pastoral ministry in Southern California and New Jersey.  Joey began teaching a Bible Study out of his home with a couple of families while praying for the Lord’s leading on what steps to take here in Cambridge.  The Lord revealed to Joey from the story of Luke 5 (where we read about how certain men carried a paralyzed man through the roof to Jesus) that England has been in a state of spiritual paralysis and that God is calling ordinary people who believe in the power of God and the truth of His Word to lead individuals to salvation in Christ.  While the Rozek family continued to pray and wait on God, the Lord connected them with various people who were hungry for Jesus and His Word and this fellowship was established to the glory of God.

Calvary Cambridge is not a denomination, as such, but a fellowship of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the fruit of almost 2,000 Calvary Chapel churches throughout the world that grew out of “The Jesus Movement” which began in Southern California in the late 1960s.  There are now over 50 Calvary Chapel fellowships here in the UK.

We believe that Jesus birthed one Church through His death and Resurrection and that all believers who have genuinely received Christ as Lord and Savior are already joined together through His Spirit by faith in the finished work of Christ.

What We Believe

"Jesus is the way, the truth and the life! (John 14:6) All of Scripture testifies of Him! (John 5:39) Everything else is made by man and will die with man."

What We Do

We desire to keep things simple by following the pattern and priorities of the earliest followers of Jesus in Acts 2:42 who continued steadfastly in…

Teaching, Fellowship, Communion, Prayer

... MAKING DISCIPLES to the glory and praise of God (Matt. 28:18-20)
